Is chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic is recognised as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for neuromusculoskeletal complaints like back pain, neck pain and cervicogenic headaches. Every therapy carries some risk, which is exactly why we assess thoroughly before any treatment — your examination determines which techniques are appropriate for your structure, including gentle low-force options.
Does an adjustment hurt?
Absolutely not in the way people fear. Our treatments are gentle and tailored to each individual. Both our chiropractors are trained in multiple techniques — from low-force methods to applied pressure — and nothing happens until you're comfortable and ready to proceed.
What actually is an adjustment?
An adjustment is the chiropractic term for realigning a dysfunctional joint — spinal or elsewhere in the body. The purpose is to restore normal joint motion and mechanics, and more importantly, to restore normal neurological function in the area.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. It includes your history, a structural assessment, and a clear explanation of what we find. The point is for you to understand what's going on and decide whether this is the right place for you — with no obligation either way.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your unique situation and how long the problem has been building — which is why the first step is a consultation to determine the starting point. What we can promise: you'll get a specific plan with a defined endpoint, not a vague open-ended arrangement. Most people feel better within a few treatments.
Once I start, do I have to keep coming forever?
No. Every plan ends with a re-assessment to confirm the correction. Life does create constant stress on the body — desks, phones, training — so some patients choose periodic tune-ups afterwards because they like how they feel. That's always your choice, never a requirement.
Can I claim chiropractic on my health fund?
Yes — treatment is covered by private health funds with extras cover, and you can claim your rebate on the spot at the clinic. Our fees are laid out clearly upfront with no surprises.
Is chiropractic covered by Medicare?
Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients with a GP referral under a chronic disease management plan. If imaging is clinically indicated, the EOS scans we refer for are bulk billed through Medicare with no GP referral required.
Will I need x-rays?
Only if clinically indicated — assessment starts hands-on. When imaging is warranted, we use EOS technology: a standing, very low-dose 3D scan that shows your spine under real load. It's bulk billed through Medicare and needs no GP referral.
Can children and older adults see a chiropractor?
People of all ages may benefit from chiropractic — if you have a spine, we can help you take care of it. Techniques are always matched to the individual: gentler approaches for kids, seniors, and anyone who needs them. We love caring for families in our clinic.
How qualified are chiropractors in Australia?
Australian chiropractors complete five years of university education — an undergraduate degree plus a Masters in Chiropractic — covering anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiology, neurology, biomechanics, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and more, including a two-year clinical internship. Chiropractors are registered primary care practitioners.
Do I need a referral to book?
No referral needed. Book online at any time, or call — and same-day appointments are usually available Monday to Friday, 7am–7:30pm.
Still wondering if chiropractic is right for you?
That's exactly what the free first consultation is for. We'll assess your structure, explain what we find, and give you an honest answer — no obligation.
